Bhawanipatna: Junagarh block in Kalahandi district has bagged the first position in disaster management and planning on the occasion of Odisha Disaster Preparedness Day, 2023 organised by Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA) at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar. The award was presented in the presence of Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena, Special Relief Commissioner and Revenue and Disaster Management department Additional Chief Secretary, Satyabrata Sahu, World Bank Country Director for India Auguste Tano Kouame. Many renowned personalities at the function presided over by Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Sudam Marndi after the welcome message of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Junagarh Block Chairman Sabita Meher and BDO Debasish Kar, who were present in the ceremony, received the award. Greetings are pouring in from various quarters on the Junagarh block authorities for this achievement.
