Chhendipada: A girl has been sitting in front of her beau’s house at Bagadia under this police limits in Angul district from Friday evening seeking justice for her love.
The girl fell in love with the boy when they were in Chandigarh. The girl had gone to Chandigarh where her aunt (father’s sister) and uncle are staying. The boy, who is nephew of her uncle, also happened to be there.
During their short stay, a relationship developed between them. Later, the boy took her to his house stayed with her for some days. But when the girl wished to marry him, the boy’s family not only opposed it but also threw her away from the house.
The girl then approached Chhendipada police for justice and registered a complaint. However, the police allegedly did nothing beyond registering a case.
Finding no other way, the girl staged a sit-in in front of the boy’s house and has been continuing her dharna till filing of this report.
On being informed that the girl was coming to their house, the family members left the house before the girl arrived.
