Cuttack: With the deteriorating health condition of Kalia of the separated conjoined twins Jaga-Kalia, the doctors’ team, which is treating the twins at SCB Medical College and Hospital have sought the help from Delhi AIIMS.
The state government has written to Delhi AIIMS requesting them to send two specialists to SCBMCH.
These two specialists are neurosurgeons Deepak Gupta and paediatric ICU care head Rakesh Lodha, informed CBK Mohanty, the superintendent of SCBMCH.
SCBMCH sources said, Kalia’s twin brother Jaga is doing well. These craniopagus twin brothers hail from Milipada village in Kandhamal district.
They had undergone a rare surgery at Delhi AIIMS September 2017. The family returned to Odisha September 7 and had since been undergoing treatment at SCBMCH since.
