Kalingi villagers in Kandhamal district celebrate Bibhuti’s IAS success

Daringbadi: Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak, a resident of a nondescript Kalingi village in Tajungia panchayat under Daringbadi block in Kandhamal district bagged the 759th rank in the Civil Services examination.

The villagers are on cloud nine ever since the news of Bibhuti’s success reached Kalingi.

Bibhuti’s father Elias Nayak is a retired school teacher who worked at different schools in the block, while his mother Premalata is an Anganwadi worker in Kalingi.

After completing his school education from the village, Bibhuti continued his higher studies in Bhubaneswar. After his graduation from Rajdhani College, Bibhuti completed his master’s degree from Tata Institute of Social Science in Mumbai and worked as researcher at Prime Minister Rural Development.

He studied at a private institution as part of his preparation for the IAS examination.
