Mumbai: A beautician based in Andheri, Mumbai, has made serious allegations of rape against a bodyguard Kumar Hegde. According to reports, he is the personal bodyguard of controversial actor Kangana Ranaut.
The woman has also accused Kumar of cheating and having unnatural relations.
“A case has been registered against a man named Kumar Hegde under sections 376 and 377 IPC. Prima facie, they had a live-in relationship and a break-up,” Senior Police Inspector Bharat Gaikwad of DN Nagar Police Station told media.
According to reports, the victim had known the accused Kumar Hegde for eight years and in June last year, Kumar proposed her for marriage. After this, both were living in live-in. Hegde told him that since he works in the film industry, it is only wise that they stay together to get married in three to four months.
The woman alleged that Hegde also made physical relations by pretending to be married and he often showed them porn and also had unnatural relationships. The woman said that Kumar called her 27 April and demanded some money as his mother had passed away. The woman also gave Rs 50 thousand to Kumar. Later the accused switched off his phone after reaching his hometown of Karnataka.
May 11, the victim received a call from a woman who claimed to be the accused’s mother. The woman told the victim the accused cannot marry her as they both belong to different faiths. The woman also told the victim that her family has found a match for the accused, the official said.
The victim later came to know that the accused is planning to marry a woman at his native place June 5, after which she approached the police in Mumbai, he said.
