Tangi, Dec 26: Kobalam Football Academy, Kerala entered the final of the All India Mahaveer Cup Football tournament, beating Yazdani Club -73 in a keenly contested semifinal here Friday. The match was a nail-biting affair and went down the wire. Kerala beat Yazdani 4-2 via tie-breaker.
Santosh Nayak opened the account for yazdani scoring as early as the fifth minute. Sazid found the equaliser in the 34th mninute. The match was equally poised with one goal each during the lemon break. After the change of ends, both the teams played aggressively, but could not score. The match ended goal less in the regulation time. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Kerala converted three of their penalty shoots, while Yazdani could score only once.
