Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: The state-level Khadi and Gramodyog fair known as ‘Khadi Bazar’ will kick-start here from February 19 and it will conclude February 28.
This was announced at a presser by the Khadi Board where Odisha Khadi Gramodyog President, Sangram Keshari Paikray, said that the exhibition offers an appropriate platform for sellers to showcase and sell their products to residents of the city.
He also said, “Energy, Industries, Micro, Small &Medium Enterprises Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra and Water Resources, Information & Public Relations Minister Raghunandan Das will inaugurate the fair in the campus of Odisha Khadi and Gramodyog Board in the city. Ananta Narayan Jena MLA Bhubaneswar Central, Satyabrata Sahu, principal secretary Department of Micro, Small and Medium Industries will also be present at the event.”
Around 60 stalls will be set up while following Covid guidelines and various weavers, organic turmeric and other organic products will be up for sale.
The key attraction of the fair will be Sabai grass products. Besides a live demonstration of pottery making, Khadi making charkha will be available at the fair for the visitors. Colourful cultural programs will be presented by artistes during this 10-day long fair.
The main aim of the fair is to rebuild the financial status of village weavers.
