Bhubaneswar: KISS surged into the final of the Inter-School football tournament after spanking Unit-I High School 4-0 Friday in the second semifinal at the Unit-VI High School here. KISS will meet Sainik School in the final Sunday.
Jadunath Hansda scored a hat-trick to help KISS register an emphatic victory. He struck in the 15th, 32nd and 57th minutes. Bhagrai Murmu scored the other goal of the match in the 19th minute. Such was the dominance of KISS players that Unit-I High School players were reduced to mere spectators.
Jadunath was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant hat-trick.
YVCG, Odisha Police win
YVCG and Odisha Police registered convincing victories in different matches of the FAO Ist Division League at the Barabati Stadium here Friday.
In the first match YVCG rode on a brace each by Abinash Samal and Prabhat Dansena to thrash SAI 4-0. Abinash struck in the 42nd and 63rd minutes while Prabhat found the back of the nets in the 44th and 53rd minutes respectively.
In the second match Odisha Police triumphed over Jay Durga 3-1. B Jorge Prakash struck in the 22nd and 32 minutes respectively while Bijay Ghallan scored the other goal in the 16th minute. Sidhant Das scored the consolation goal for Jay Durga Club.
