The seasoned Robin Uthappa was bagged by inaugural edition winners Rajasthan Royals for Rs 3 crore, but the Indian Test specialist duo of Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihara went unsold.
Australia’s limited-overs captain Aaron Finch bought for Rs 4.4 crore by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Glenn Maxwell went to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 10.75 crore. Pat Cummins was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 15.50 crore, the most expensive foreign buy ever at IPL players’ auction.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey, with a base price of Rs 50 lakh, sold for Rs 2.40 crore to Delhi Capitals. South Africa’s star pacer Dale Steyn went unsold.
Indian seamer Jaydev Unadkat was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 3 crore.
A total of 338 players are going under the hammer at the auction.
