Everybody knows it that the Moon is the only natural satellite of the Earth. It does not shine by itself but is illuminated by sunlight. So far, 12 people have stepped onto the moon. Have you ever thought what will happen if we didn’t have moon, what effect would it have on the earth?
If we didn’t have moon, then we would have had only six to 12 hours in a day instead of 24 hours. There would have been around 1000 to 1400 days rather than 365 in a year.
We get little light at night because of moon but if there is no moon then there will be complete darkness everywhere.
There would be neither a lunar eclipse nor a solar eclipse on earth, because moon covers the sun for the phenomena.
Since the Earth is tilted on 23.5 axis, in case of no moon, then none knows in what axis the Earth is tilted and what would be the weather on the earth due to that tilt.
The moon and sun together cause the tides. If we never had a moon, we’d still have tides, but they wouldn’t be as strong.
