All of us should have come across the situation where dogs start barking and chase behind wheels and it’s scary especially if you are riding a two wheeler. Some of us might wonder why others just escape the situation and remain thankful of not being bitten. There is a reason as to why dogs chase and what triggers their rush towards the moving wheels.
It was learnt that dogs of a particular street or area mark their territory by peeing on the tyres of parked vehicles. Therefore, when the vehicle with the scent of a dog’s urine enters another territory, the dogs in that area get the smell and sensing threat to their territory they bark and chase behind to scare you and drive you away of their territory.
You might have also noticed that whenever a dog or a cat from some other place enters to a new area, the dogs in that region chase and drive the newcomer away from their territory to mark their presence.
Next time just take your driving skills to better the chaser or you may wash the tyres and be free of a dogs marking.
