Koraput: Koraput BJP vice-president Debandar Mohanthy joined BJD in the presence of state sports minister Chandra Sarathi Behera Wednesday. Debendra said he joined the party after being inspired by the ideologies of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Sri Behera welcomed Debandar to the party and said his joining would strengthen the BJD further.
Among others BJD women wing’s working president Rita Panigrahi, District BJD secretary Utkal Ranjan Nayak and other party members were present in this welcome event.
Debendra had joined Janata Dal in 1997. But due to some reasons he left the party and joined BJP in 2005. On the joining event, Debendra said the working style of district level ministers of BJP was not matched with his ideology, so he joined BJD.
