Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his deep condolences at the demise of legendary Odia film actor-director Bijay Mohanty.
The Chief Minister described him as a legendary personality who had enriched Odia film industry and enthralled cine-lovers through his versatile talent.
ବର୍ଷୀୟାନ ଅଭିନେତା ବିଜୟ ମହାନ୍ତିଙ୍କ ଦେହାନ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ମୁଁ ଦୁଃଖିତ। ଓଡ଼ିଆ କଳା ଜଗତରେ ସେ ଛାଡିଯାଇଥିବା ଅଭିନୟର ଛାପ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅଗଣିତ କଳାପ୍ରେମୀଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟରେ ସର୍ବଦା ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ କରି ରଖିବ। ତାଙ୍କ ଅମର ଆତ୍ମାର ସଦଗତି କାମନା କରିବା ସହ ଶୋକସନ୍ତପ୍ତ ପରିବାରବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ମୋର ସମବେଦନା ଜଣାଉଛି।

“He had a long, illustrious career in Odia film. He occupies a very special place in the hearts of millions and millions of fans across the state and outside. His death marks the end of an era in the Odia film industry and has created a deep void in the industry. His contribution to Odia films will leave an unforgettable imprint for all the times to come,” he added.
Conveying his deep sympathy to the grieving family, that includes his wife and actress Tandra Ray and a daughter, the CM announced that the actor will be cremated with full state honours.
