Sundargarh: Panic sparked among the residents of Geleibahal village in the Bargaon forest range of Sundargarh district early morning Wednesday when a leopard strayed into the agricultural fields next to their hamlet.
Once the news spread, several people gathered with sticks to witness the big cat and began yelling to scare it away. The leopard fled the area and sought refuge in the nearby jungle after being startled by the crowd and commotion. On being informed, Forest department personnel hurried to the hamlet and began keeping an eye on the animal’s movements.
