Life guards save person from drowning in Puri sea

Puri:  Heroic efforts by three life guards on the beach here saved the life of 19-year-old Raja Sahoo, a resident of Shikharchandi area of Bhubaneswar, here Monday.

According to information, Raja Sahoo accompanied by friends, had come to this Temple City to celebrate Navami. They decided to take a dip in the sea. However, Raja was hit by a huge wave and swept away. Hearing his screams and the frantic cries of help from Raja’s friends, the three life guards dived into the sea and rescued Raja.

After being brought ashore, Raja was given first aid. Sources said that he recovered quite quickly and left for home.
