Lifestyle exhibition wows women

Bhubaneswar: A two-day lifestyle and fashion fest named Mélange opened at a city hotel here Friday. High-living products like home décor, women’s jewellery, haute couture, gift items, designer rakhis, Italian silver products and many more such products beckon consumers.

Unnati Shah, a visitor to the exhibition along with her mother-in-law Lina Shah, said: “The beautiful bridal ware like Haldi jewellery in floral patterns, nathnis, jhumkas and studded necklaces simply made my day. I am buying everything I can as my younger cousin sister is getting married next week.”

Pragyan Sahoo who has come from Bangalore to celebrate ‘Raja’ with her parents finds the exhibition pretty appealing and wished such exhibitions done more frequently so that buyers can buy some exquisite stuff that is not available in regular shops.

Safaq Begum who bought her first Banarasi designer lehenga from Khwahish looks thrilled. She said: “After a month it’s time for Eid celebrations and I want to look good for my husband and I am very happy to find Banarasi work over here and at a reasonable price. Even there are several stalls where designer saris are being sold, so for me it’s already Eid.”

Chandni Behera, a Class III student who along with her mother Baishali Behera found the designer Spiderman and Barbie pencil box quite attractive and on her insistence her mother got her two pencil boxes.

From designer blouses to Nakashi sari borders, stunning capes, fusion kurtis, the list is endless as Mélange has everything for every buyer.
