Locals smear ink on alleged eve-teasers in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Locals tied three youths to an electric pole, put tyres on their necks and smeared ink on their faces for passing lewd comments on girls in Odisha’s Cuttack district, a source said Saturday.

The source informed that the incident took place at Bheda Ramachandrapur village under Banki police limits in Cuttack district.

According to the source, the youths allegedly eve-teased a girl and tried to escape the scene. However, their mischievous attempt boomeranged on them as locals caught the trio on the spot.

On being informed, Banki police rescued the boys from the irate villagers and took them to the police station.

Later, the youths were released from the police station following an understanding between the villagers and the trio.
