Bolangir: Train service was disrupted Friday morning after locals staged a ‘Rail roko’ at Deogaon railway station in this district, demanding halting of express trains at the station.
The Kolkata bound Ispat Express and many goods train have been stranded at the station by the protesters who have been squatting on railway tracks since 6 AM. Members of the village development committee and traders’ union have also extended their support to the Rail roko.
Police personnel have been deployed at the spot to maintain law and order situation.
