Sonepur: In a major breakthrough, Sonepur police Tuesday arrested four robbers involved in several robbery cases here in this district.The cops recovered 100 grams of gold biscuits and stolen items worth Rs 9 lakh from their possession.
According to police sources, these persons were nabbed following a tip-off regarding their presence in different parts of the district. They have identified as Abhilash Mishra (25), a minor, jeweller owner who bought the stolen ornaments Laxmi Narayan Nanda (46) and Gitanand Satapathy (30).
A case was registered and the three accused were produced in court.
The accused persons are being interrogated to ascertain from where they had robbed the valuables and nab other persons involved in their criminal activities in and outside the district, the sources added.
