Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more rainfall in most parts of the state till the next five days.
According to a release by the Regional Meteorological Centre here the low pressure formed over the north-west Bay of Bengal Sunday is gradually intensifying into a depression.
Under its influence, there would be widespread rainfall in the coastal, north coastal and interior districts.
Districts like Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Koraput would get heavy to very heavy rainfall, it said adding that the weather condition will remain unchanged till July 13.
Rainfall was recorded in almost all areas of the state Sunday. Sambalpur recorded the highest 45.2 mm rainfall followed by Paradip at 41.2 mm.
