Baripada: Kidamakoda, an innovative art expo, would be held at Lulung in Mayurbhanj December 11.
The first-of-its-kind event would showcase paintings on stones which are collected from near waterfalls.
Interacting with Orissa POST, eminent artist Keshu Das from Balasore said, “We will be selecting some children from the slums here under our Dhool Ke Phool project. The children would be ranked accordingly by their paintings.” A free painting session will be conducted for local women and children.
Another artist Dibya Rout would be joining Das in the programme in Lulung which will be organised by Hole Foundation and Dhool Ke Phool.
The motto of this event is to teach children to respect every little creature on this earth, Das added. We are trying to teach painting on stones to slum children as well as to tribal women who can earn their livelihood through this, he concluded.
