Cuttack: Maharashtra and Bihar put up splendid performances as they pummelled their respective opponents on the second day of the Sub-Junior girl’s national football championships here Monday at the Barabati Stadium.
Maharashtra thumped Pondicherry 18-0 in the first game of the day before Bihar pumped in 11 goals against Andhra Pradesh who got only two consolation goals.
In other matches played at the Ravenshaw University ground, Kerala defeated Punjab 4-1 while Gujarat prevailed over Uttar Pradesh 5-2.

Football Association of Odisha (FAO) announced Monday a 20-member provisional state squad that will participate in the ongoing Sub-junior Girls’ National Football Championship at Cuttack. Sumitra Hembram from Sports Hostel, Sundargarh will lead the side.
