post news network, Bhubaneswar, July 21: The dealer of the premium Czech carmaker ‘Skoda’, Mahavir Auto Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd, launched its renovated showroom in the state, spanning over an area of 3,000 sq ft, a top official of the dealership said at the inauguration of the new-look showroom in the city.
“Aiming to offer service, spare parts as well as sales at one place, we are coming up with the renovated showroom in the city. The showroom alone spans over an area of 3,000 sq ft – it has separate space for service as well as separate counter for the spare parts,” general manager Mahavir Auto Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd, Samarendra Panda said here, Tuesday.
On the growth of the business this fiscal, Panda said that the lone dealer in the state was eyeing a 10-15 per cent growth against the sales of 87 units during the last fiscal.
“We had sold 10 units last month and are hopeful to grow by 10- 15 per cent in the state this fiscal,” Panda added.
Talking on the most-selling model among the models available in the showroom Panda said “We are getting good response from our Rapid, which is a sedan and we hope to grow in double digits after the launch of some more variants this fiscal. We have also planned to come up with the new Octavia, which will have several additional features.”
On the market share of the company, Mahavir Auto chief executive, Parsva Kumar Jhabakh, said that the company held a market share of 5-6 per cent in the premium car segment in the state and it is more likely to grow with the revival of the mines in the state.
On the future plans of expansion he said that the company would focus on the service aspects for some more years and then will concentrate on sales growth.
“In next two years we will be coming with an SUV, which will be a seven seater and will compete with the SUVs in the premium car segment,” Jhabakh said. He went on to add that while the company had an assembly unit for the Rapid at Pune, the Octavia, the Superb and the Yeti were being assembled in Aurangabad.
