Major bureaucratic reshuffle in state

Bhubaneswar: In a major reshuffle among senior bureaucrats, the state government Wednesday appointed Board of Revenue Secretary Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya as the Director of Odia Language, Literature and Culture (OLL&C) department. “The post of OLL&C department Director is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary provided in the IAS Cadre of the State. Upadhyaya is allowed to remain in additional charge of Odisha Paribar Director,” read a notification issued by the GA&PG department.

While Balasore Collector Ashish Thakare was appointed as Board of Revenue Secretary, OLL&C department Director Dilip Routrai was appointed as Bhadrak Collector. Nabarangpur Collector Kamal Lochan Mishra was appointed as Odisha State Disaster Management Authority Executive Director, while Jajpur Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan was transferred and posted as Soil Conservation and Watershed Development Director. CMC Commissioner Bijay Kumar Dash with additional charge of CDA Vice Chairman was appointed as Gajapati Collector, while Gajapati Collector Smruti Ranjan Pradhan was transferred and posted as Kendrapara Collector. Nayagarh Collector Swadha Dev Singh was appointed as PR and DW department Additional Secretary, while OSEPA State Project Director Parul Patawari was appointed as Rayagada Collector. Dhenkanal Collector Amrit Ruturaj was appointed as Kandhamal Collector and Bhadrak Collector Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar was transferred and posted as Sambalpur Collector.

Mayurbhanj Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde was appointed as Cuttack Collector and Nuapada Collector Hema Kanta Say was appointed as Mayurbhanj Collector. Kalahandi Collector P Anvesha Reddy was appointed as Jajpur Collector, while Kandhamal Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil was transferred and posted as Malkangiri Collector. Among others, Deogarh Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay was appointed as Dhenkanal Collector.
