Male staff dance inside ICU to boost morale of critical Covid-19 patients, video goes viral

Sambalpur: With the rising cases of Covid-19 in Sambalpur district during second wave of the deadly pandemic, some male staffers were seen in a video dancing inside an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a local hospital, in order to boost the morale of critical Covid patients. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media Thursday.

According to a source, the paramedics had been dancing inside the ICU of dedicated Covid health centre at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla in the district.

The paramedics were seen in the viral video dancing inside ICU of the Covid facility amid cheers of colleagues and patients as well. In another part of the viral video, the male paramedics were seen holding hands of a critical woman patient on ventilator support and requesting her to make dance moves while lying in bed.

However, some critics have alleged gross mismanagement inside the government facility, saying it to be irresponsible attitude.
