Bolangir: Deceased lady school teacher Mamita Meher’s father Suchindra broke his silence Saturday through a video message and urged people and media against character assassination of the departed.
Buzz of Mamita’s visit to Raipur along with Sunshine English Medium School managing committee president and key accused in the murder case Gobinda Sahu is completely baseless and the victim possessed a good character, Suchindra said in the video.
Besides, he appealed the public and the media not to indulge in character assassination of her deceased daughter and requested against politicising the case.

Suchindra expressed his satisfaction with the way Bolangir police have been probing the murder case. “I have complete faith in Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and hope justice will certainly be delivered to my departed daughter,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Congress MLA from Kantabanji Santosh Singh Saluja has alleged few days ago that Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra, prime accused Gobinda along with Mamita were present at the minister’s residence in Raipur. Gobinda and Mamita visited Raipur between September 20 and 23, he said.
Mishra tried to resolve the differences between Gobinda and Mamita during a meeting of the trio at his residence, Saluja had claimed.
Three meetings were held between them at the minister’s residence in Raipur, senior BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra had claimed earlier.
