Man arrested in Rs 4.5 crore job fraud case

Cuttack: A man named Bodhiswata Parida was arrested by Tigiria police Monday for allegedly committing a fraud of over Rs 4.5 crore in the pretext of providing jobs.

However, the main accused in this case, Abhay Barik, is still absconding.

Official sources said Parida was nabbed on charges of duping several youths by making fake promises of providing jobs in the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at Chandipur, Balasore.

The matter came into light after Riyan, a victim of the job fraud from Athagarh lodged a complaint at the Tigiria police station.

The Tigiria PS IIC Sushant Sathpathy informed that Parida is being interrogated. An audio tape, fake appointment letters, identity cards and other documents have been recovered from his possession.
