Man bobbitised in Keonjhar

Patna: In a shocking incident, a man was bobbitised by miscreants at Sanraposi village under Patna police limits in Keonjhar district Friday morning.

Sources said, Deepak Mohanta, 28, son of Rohidas Mahanta had gone out of the house to attend nature’s call early in the morning. His family members grew apprehensive when he did not return for a long time.

A frantic search was launched for Deepak. Finally he was found in an abandoned room of residential Sishu Mandir school, lying in a pool of blood with his genitals chopped off.

Deepak was first rushed to the Patna government hospital and then shifted to Keonjhar district headquarters hospital (DHH) as his condition deteriorated. Deepak is married and he runs a business of supplying tents in the locality.

On being informed, police reached the village and launched an investigation. They are yet to ascertain the reason behind the bobbitisation. Sources however said that past enmity was the reason for which Deepak had to face the wrath of the miscreants.
