Patna: A man had to pay with his life for marrying a married woman. He was burnt to death. This shocking incident reportedly took place at Oralhiya village in Sitamarhi district in Bihar Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shravan Mahto.
Sources said, the victim had eloped with the daughter-in-law of an influential villager. After some time a group of men arrived at his house, dragged him out and started beating him till he fell unconscious.
They then took him to a nearby field and set him ablaze
After a complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother, the police have started their investigation.
Their primary investigation indicates that love affair with a married person was the reason behind the incident.
