Bhubaneswar: The Airport police station here Thursday arrested a 34-year-old man who allegedly tortured his wife over dowry demands and assaulted his in-laws. Two sharp weapons which were used in the attack have been recovered, said an officer at the police station. The accused has been identified as Sanjay Debanath, 34, a native of Kendrapara district. When they tried to overpower him, he slipped off and fled from the spot, Sethi added. The Airport police station later arrested Sanjay and booked him under Sections 498 (A), 294, 307 and 323 of IPC. He was produced before a local court Thursday for remand.
