Bhubaneswar: The Airfield Police Tuesday arrested a 55-year-old man for alleged sexual assault on a minor in the absence of her parents. The accused is identified as Dhadia Behera, a resident of Behera Sahi in the City. The complaint lodged by the nine-year-old victim’s parents alleged that Dhadia entered their house September 2 and sexually misbehaved with their daughter. “Dhadia threatened our daughter of physical assault if she would disclose the matter to anyone. We came to know it when we found our daughter to crying when we returned in the evening,” the minor’s father said. The police said that minor’s father is a painter while his mother works as a help in a private college. The police booked Dhadia under Sections 65 (2), 127 (2), 75 (1) and 351 (3) of BNS, and produced him before a local court Tuesday.
