Bonai: In a crackdown Monday morning, police arrested a man on charge of killing his son who was under the influence of alcohol at Kalta area under Koida police limits in Sundargarh district.

According to police sources, the accused was identified as Santosh Danga who allegedly axed his son Samaran to death out of anger. Later, he dumped the body of his son in a nearby forest.
The accused will be produced in a local court today.
It is said that the son used to quarrel with his family members every day in an inebriated condition. The family feud turned fatal when the father got angry over the violent behaviour of his son.
Samaran died on the spot following profuse bleeding.
The accused man along with his wife tied the hands and legs of their deceased son to destroy evidence. He carried the body in a sling to nearby Matajhara forest and threw the body in a nullah.
A team of officials from Koida police station reached the spot after getting information about the brutal murder. Police seized the body of Samaran and sent it to hospital for post-mortem.
Koida police registered a case in this connection and launched a probe which is underway. Police seized the axe used in the crime as well.
