‘Love isn’t complicated… People are’. That’s the tag line of Anurag Kashyap’s latest offing Manmarziyan.
Vicky (Vicky Kaushal) is madly in love with Rumi (Taapsee Pannu), but is not ready for marriage. Rumi then decides to get married to the first guy she meets. Then enters Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan), and begins the ‘complicated’ love story. Torn between her first love and marriage, Rumi finds it hard to decide who to choose.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Manmarziyan speaks volumes about modern-day relationships and love-related complexities.
If Taapsee and Vicky are in their element in the trailer of the romantic drama, it’s hard to ignore Jr Bachchan’s understated performance.
Manmarziyan is co-produced by Aanand L Rai. Taapsee had said the film “is a beautiful mix of the different worlds of filmmakers Aanand L Rai and Anurag Kashyap.”
The film is set to hit the screens on September 14.
