Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Communications (Independent Charge) and Railways Manoj Sinha will visit state Monday and inaugurate a slew of facilities and passenger amenities here, East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said Sunday.
Sinha would attend a programme of Railways, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and Bharat Broadband Network Limited at the railway auditorium here at 10.15am and inaugurate a foot over bridge and escalator at Berhampur railway station, Rural Wi-Fi hot spots with a basket of other projects of the Ministry of Communications.
The union minister will also lay the foundation stone for new escalator at the railway station here. Besides, 400 new Ujjwala sanitary napkin manufacturing machines will be dedicated on the occasion. Moreover, MoU between oil marketing companies and common service centre to provide LPG services at 2,000 centres will also be inked on the occasion.
Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan will also grace the occasion.
Dignitaries including Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, Commerce and Transport Minister Nrusingha Charan Sahu, MP Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Bijaya Kumar Mohanty and Bhubaneswar (North) MLA Priyadarshi Mishra will also attend the event.
