Malkangiri: A man’s body was recovered from a drain in Siliguma village Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Khila of Daliamba village.
Khila was on his way back to his village from Chitrakonda bank August 20 at around 10 pm in the night when he was swept away due to high current in the drain water.
Khila’s body was recovered from another drain near Siliguma village Friday morning after going missing for four days.
Notably, August 13, a 55-year-old man died after falling into an open drain near Banadurga Temple in Unit VI area of Bhubaneswar at around 8:30 pm.
Malkangiri incident has become another testament to the menace of open drains in the state.
