Kantabanji: Even as the combing operation continues in Bolangir district, CRPF, police and DVF have busted a Maoist camp in Chhatardandi reserve forest under Tureikela police limits Thursday. However, the left wing ultras managed to escape before the police raid. At a press meet here, Bolangir SP K Shiva Subramani and CRPF commando Jogendra Singh Mourya confirmed raid on the Maoist camp.
Police seized green dresses, solar plates, Naxal posters, banners, some notebooks, magazines from the camp. It may be noted here that police and Maoists had exchanged fire at Dudukamal near Bender reserve forest May 12 and two hardcore ultras identified as Sanjib and Rajesh were shot dead.
After this operation, police had got a lead about ongoing Maoist activities in the district. However, the left wing rebels were reportedly regrouping in some areas.
