Jharigaon: Police and Border Security Force have seized a Maoist poster near the bridge under Chandahandi gorge in Nabarangpur district Saturday.
Through the poster, the outlawed CPI (Maoist) has urged the people to observe the Peoples Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) week from December 2 to 8.
They have also appealed the people to launch a revolution against embezzlement of public money by brokers, ruling party and industrialists.
The poster said the tribal livelihood is being destructed by carrying out deforestation activities to set up industrial hubs.
However, the police are yet to confirm the authenticity of the poster.
Similarly, Maoist posters had surfaced at Daringbadi in Kandhamal district Thursday triggering panic among locals.
The PLGA week which is being observed by CPI (Maoist) since Sunday reached its fifth day Thursday.
The posters were spotted by locals near Sudhananda Ashram at Kirikuti and Patangi.
While the red rebels always used red-coloured posters, they used black-coloured posters for the first time Thursday.
Through the poster, the ultras urged the people to observe PLGA week to protest against ‘Khakee militants’ who are spreading hatred and violence through mob lynching in the name of ‘Go Raksha’ (Protection of cows).
In yet another incident, the ultras called upon youths to boycott elections and join them. The Maoists posters surfaced at Malkangiri’s Swabhiman area Thursday.
These posters were found at Panasput, Jagamba, Antrapalli and other places seeking support from tribal youths to keep fighting for their rights.
They also urged the youths to act against police atrocities and destroy the anti-Naxal people’s force.
The ultras have also asked the youths to join the revolutionary outfit to usher in new democracy in the society.
