Muniguda: Posters allegedly put up by Maoists appeared at Dimiriguda village under Ambadola police limits in Rayagada district Saturday.

Through these posters, the Red Rebels hold Police DG Abhay and police intelligence chief RK Sharma responsible for the deaths of Shankar Patra and Hemanta Patra from Belghar area in Kandhamal district.

The posters, seven in numbers, were released in the name of Ghumussar divisional committee of the outlawed outfit.

On being informed, officials from Ambadola police station reached the spot and seized the posters. They have launched an investigation into it.

The appearance of posters has left the villagers a terrified lot.

Notably, a group of 15 to 20 armed members of the outlawed outfit swooped down on Gochaguda village under Belghar police limits in Kandhamal district January 29 night. They dragged Bhabani Shankar Patra, son of the sarpanch of Bhandarangi panchayat and Hemanta Patra, a ration shop owner, out of their houses and killed them.
