Kotagada: After a few days of silence, Red Rebels of the CPIMaoist, Vamsadhara-NagabaliGhumusar (Baghuna) Divisional Committee brutally killed a youth at Badipanga village under Durgapanga panchayat and this police limits in Kandhamal district suspecting him to be a police informer. The matter came to the fore after the mutilated body of the youth was found near the village Monday, sources said. The deceased was identified as Metla Raita of Badipanga village.
According to sources, armed miscreants took away Metla from his house late Saturday night suspecting him to be a police informer. Since then he has been untraceable. The youth’s mutilated body was found lying near the village along with a poster containing threats by the Maoists. In the poster it was mentioned that Naveen and Modi governments are responsible for the killing of Metla. “Whoever is working as dalal like Metla should realise their mistake and immediately beg mercy from the Maoists, or may leave the area immediately. Otherwise, they will be punished like Metla” the poster read. On being informed, Kotagada police launched an investigation into the incident.
