Koraput: A decapitated body was recovered from the railway tracks near Manbar station on Koraput-Jeypore route Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Khudhi Gouda, a resident of Goudaguda village near the station.
It was some local residents that first spotted the body with the head and torso lying separately. They immediately informed the police.
A team of GRP reached the spot and recovered the body parts for post-mortem.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the youth had died by suicide by jumping in front of a moving train. The incident occurred Sunday night.
According to a source, Khudhi was a married person. Two days ago he and his wife had a quarrel over some family issues. Thereafter, Khudhi went out of his house and did not come home for two days.
It was when the family members were thinking that Khudhi might have gone to any of his relatives’ house and would return on his own, they were taken aback to hear the news Monday morning.
