Bhubaneswar: Country’s leading automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki unveiled new car Maruti XL6, which is based on Ertiga. It is a six-seater premium MPV that was launched here at the Nexa Twin City showroom, Friday. The new premium MVP has a starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Bhubaneswar).
MD of Nexa Twin City Avinash Singhania, training development manager Raj Kumar Guntha, Maruti Suzuki TSM Anubhav, showroom manager Amit Sharma and SBI official Sudarshan Dwibedi were present at the launching ceremony.
The new XL6 is available only with petrol engine option in two trim levels – Zeta and Alpha and it will be sold via Maruti’s Nexa chain of dealerships.
Showroom manager Amit Sharma said, “The XL6 strikes a perfect balance of style, space, comfort, performance and safety. Also, the XL6 is powered by BS6 compliant K15 petrol engine with progressive smart hybrid technology with Li-ion battery. We believe that this new six-seater XL6 will strike a chord with today’s customers who seek comfort and style.“
The exterior look of this new model is bold, iconic, sporty and aspirational. The interior design is enhanced by the sophisticated and push interior. The new model will not only attract customers with its interior and exterior look but also with its safety facilities. “It is equipped with a host of safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with electrical brake force distribution, high speed warning alerts are among other features,” officials said.
It is expected that the new Maruti XL6 will compete cars like the Mahindra Marazzo and the Renault Lodgy MPVs.
