Mayurbhanj: Mayurbhanj Art Exhibition was jointly organised by Mayurbhanj Foundation, Marwari Yuva Manch and Hall Foundation with much gaiety and fervour here.
This was the first such initiative at Mayurbhanj where artistes from every fraternity joined to give the four-day art expo a much needed boost. The artistes were felicitated by Mayurbhanja Maharaja Pravin Bhanja Deo and Queen Rashmi Raj Laxmi Bhanja Deo.
The expo exhibited Bamboo art, Dhokra, Paper Mache, Tussar weaving, Sand Art, paintings, and many others in more than 30 stalls. Keshu Das showcased his ‘Jau Kandhei’ while Kalyan Barik and Hemant Saha coordinated the whole event.

I am proud to exhibit Jau Kandhei which was highly appreciated by the royal family. Even the visitors loved it and asked me to show them the making in a public workshop to which I have agreed heartily.”
Sand artist Dasratha Mahanta also stated his gratitude and happiness over the art expo. He said, “It was a great platform to interact and exchange ideas and I was lucky enough to teach some youngsters.
