Bhubaneswar: The second phase for admission into MBBS and BDS courses to fill the vacant seats at various medical colleges in the state commenced Monday. The admission process will continue till August 18.
The move is to fill the vacant seats at eight medical colleges and two dental colleges in the state.
The admission into MBBS seats is being held at SCB Medical College in Cuttack from 10 am to 1 pm and MKCG Medical College in Berhampur from 2 pm to 5 pm Monday.
The spot counselling will be conducted between August 21 and 22 in case any seats fall vacant after the second round.
The first phase admission procedure was held between July 5 and 9 and classes for 2018-19 have already started from August 1.
During the first phase admission, as many as 989 students from the state and 130 students under the all-India quota seats took admission.
