Meeting on advancing state’s power infra held

Bhubaneswar: A meeting on advancing Odisha’s power infrastructure was held Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Energy Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. In the meeting, discussions were held on the installation of 132/33 kV grid substation at Titilagarh and 220/33 kV grid substation at Khandapada. Titilagarh MLA Nabin Kumar Jain and Khandapada MLA Dusmanta Kumar Swain were present on the occasion.

Deo explored ways to strengthen energy connectivity, fostering growth and progress across the region. He said that the installation of high-capacity grid substations in these two areas can alleviate the electricity problems of the local people as well as the low-voltage problem during the day.

In the meeting, the senior officers of OPTCL and Tata Power expressed their views on this. At present 20 additional grid substations are being installed in the state. Out of these 11 grids have been completed and will be operational soon. Minister Deo said that the government is always trying to solve the electricity problems of the people. He discussed with the officials and MLAs about the connection of the lateral grid to provide uninterrupted electricity service to the people of Titilagarh and Khadpada.
