Paradip: A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel was left battling for life after he was allegedly stabbed by a mentally-challenged man at Sandakuda in Paradip of Jagatsinghpur district Friday evening. The injured was identified as Parsuram Ojha.
The incident occurred when Ojha went to an eatery. Meanwhile, for reasons best known to him, the mentally-challenged man attacked him with a knife and stabbed him in his stomach.
Ojha sustained three stab wounds on his stomach and fell unconscious on the spot. Locals rescued him and rushed him to Paradip Port Trust Hospital. After preliminary treatment, he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition worsened. Now, his condition is stated critical.
When contacted, Ojha’s son said that he rushed home after receiving his mother’s call that his father was stabbed. “I rushed home and found him covered in bandages. I was not on the spot but came to know from people that he was attacked by a mentally-challenged man,” said Ojha’s son.
