Bhubaneswar: Mindgame, set to release October 6, is one of the most awaited Odia movies of the year as talents from different regions of India collaborated for the project.
The first Odia film of popular Hindi film actor Atul Kulkarni has been directed by Rajesh Touchriver from south.
The film, starring Manoj Mishra in an important character, was completed five years ago but couldn’t be released for some reason.
Speaking on the movie, Atul, during a virtual media interaction, said, “Now Hindi film industry is collaborating with south makers which we had done five years back. While I was from Mumbai, Manoj Mishra is from Odisha and Rajesh is from south. It was pan-India collaboration.”
The Chandni Bar actor, when asked what made him sign the movie, said when his NSD mate Manoj Mishra asked him to be a part of this movie, he enquired for the script and the director’s vision and he liked them. Atul had also given voice to his character. On this, he said Manoj and Anu(Choudhury) helped him a lot in correcting his Odia.
Based on the sensational Patnagarh parcel bomb incident, the movie also features Hindi film actors Yashpal Sharma and south actress Apsara Rani from Odisha in key roles.
