Baripada: The helper of a cattle-laden mini truck was killed after the vehicle hit a road divider near Sagunabasa canal under Baripada Sadar Police Station in Mayurbhanj district Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Suruju Behera of Jugala village near Baisinga police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
According to reports, the driver of Tata Ace mini truck, who was allegedly carrying cattle illegally to Baripada, lost control on the wheels.
Suruju sustained critical head injury in the accident and died on the spot. The driver fled the scene.
