Berhampur: At least three miscreants allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped a minor girl at Balisahi area in Ganjam district Wednesday night.
The victim has been admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here in a critical condition.
According to the rape survivor’s father, three men barged into their house and stole gold ornaments and cash.
They allegedly abducted the minor girl and then gang-raped her.
The incident occurred while the victim and her parents were sleeping. The robbers broke open the main door of the house, stole the valuables and kidnapped the girl.
They then took her to a nearby agricultural land and took turns to rape her, reports said. She was later rescued and hospitalised by her family members.
Police have started investigation into the incident.
