Balasore: Three bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 1.4 lakh from a man by brandishing gun near Bilabankia on Soro-Kupari road in Balasore district Wednesday afternoon.
Alok Kumar Prusty, an employee of People’s Forum, was on his way to the office after collecting cash from five SHGs at Dagarpada village near Khaira when he was intercepted by three bike-borne goons. They looted the bag containing cash, two mobile phones and an ATM card after throwing chilly powder in his eyes. They fled the spot after firing in the air to terrorise people at the spot.
The police have started an investigation.
