Bhubaneswar: A mobile shop owner was stabbed to death by some miscreants late Sunday night at Raghunath Nagar of Dumduma locality under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as 26-year-old Sanatan Routray. The adolescent was drunk and had a violent argument with the criminals earlier in the night. He returned home later and went to bed to rest.
The miscreants arrived at Sanatan’s house late in the night and asked him to come outside his house. As he stepped out, they murdered him by stabbing on his chest with a knife. The miscreants fled from the spot soon after committing the crime, the police official said.

Sanatan was the owner of a mobile shop at Dumduma market.
On being informed by locals, Khandagiri police reached the spot and recovered Sanatan’s body from a pool of blood. Police have registered a case in this connection and launched a probe.
Police have detained six persons including two women to quiz. The main accused Raja is still absconding, the official informed.
